This entire movie also felt extremely rough paced. One of the original villains not showing up (although he makes an appearance in the sequel - which was much better, that's for a review of Book of Shadows). Two specific ghosts instead of three, only one missing item between them both instead of the original three where they should have been two. Characters died much before their time and it threw the whole timing off. Everything was the same, but nothing was the same if that makes sense - the same plot happened but they weren't separated. Instead of it seeming like a fresh new take on the anime and the games, it seems like just a bad market remake for cash in the series. Now, my issue with the movie lies within that they kept the exact same plot - but they changed many elements of it. If you don't know what Corpse Party is a group of friends who do a small magic ritual to say goodbye to their friend end up trapped in the cursed school of Heavenly Host Elementary, where ghosts haunt the school and kill those who end up there. The games, the anime series, and now the movies. I've been a fan of Corpse Party for quite a while now, I've gone through nearly all forms of the franchise. When this film was announced, it was definitely a case of either it would be amazing or it would be terrible. Taking place five years after the conclusion of Heavenly Host Elementary School saga, it serves as the latest installment of the series.Corpse Party is a franchise that is known throughout almost the entire horror community. On May 29, 2013, about a year before Corpse Party: BLOOD DRIVE was released, the first chapter of a new project titled Corpse Party 2: DEAD PATIENT was released. On July 24, 2014, three years after the release of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, the final part to the Heavenly Host Elementary School saga was released, called Corpse Party: BLOOD DRIVE for PlayStation Vita. On August 2, 2012, Corpse Party received a romantic comedy spin-off game titled Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash (or affectionately called Corpse Party 2U by fans) for PlayStation Portable. Since then, Corpse Party had many spin-offs, manga and light novel adaptations, OVAs, drama CDs, and live-action movies. On SeptemCorpse Party saw a sequel, titled Corpse Party: Book of Shadows for PlayStation Portable, which further tells the story about the Kisaragi students.
